Wedding & Engagement
Your wedding should be a very special day. Our bespoke design service for engagement and wedding rings can make it even more unique.
Making your Memorable Day Extraordinary
We can design and manufacture stunning individual or matching rings for men and women, entirely to suit you. The design process is explained below, and you will find examples of Louise’s work, showing the quality and uniqueness of her creations.
Whilst these items are not for sale, having been commissioned as one-off pieces, they will hopefully give you some inspiration of how Louise can help to make your day extra special.
In addition to engagement and wedding rings, Louise can also help with additional items for the day, such as cufflinks for the groom and best man, pendants for the bridesmaids or gifts for the wedding party.
Design Process
Personal Consultation
Louise will discuss your initial requirements – what sort of item you are looking for, any design ideas you may have, your design preferences.
This part of the process is free of charge, with no obligation.
Initial Sketches
Final Illustration
Louise will produce a final illustration of your agreed design, which will be used to make the finished piece. At this stage you will also receive a written quotation and a delivery date.
Production
Your jewellery will then be manufactured. How long this will take depends on the complexity of the design and the materials used. Stones sourced abroad or which need to be specially cut, for example, will mean longer production times.
The piece will also need to be hallmarked and will bear the Louise Barnfather design stamp.
Delivery
You will receive your unique jewellery in its own box, complete with title and description. Each piece of Louise Barnfather jewellery is named, sometimes linked to the reason for the commission, often inspired by the design itself.
Arrange a personal consultation

Louise will be happy to have an initial discussion around any thoughts you may have.
It’s useful to have available any photographs of jewellery you like or that your partner likes or any interests they may have which will help in the design process. You will also need some idea of your budget as your choice of materials will affect the cost of producing your piece.
